TruePixel AI ("we," "us," or "our") operates an AI image detection tool that lets you upload a photo and get a score estimating how likely it is to be AI-generated. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, how it's handled, and who to contact if you have questions. We built this tool to work without accounts or unnecessary data collection, and this policy reflects that.
We collect the smallest amount of information needed to run a scan and keep the tool working properly. That falls into a few categories.
When you upload a photo to be scanned, that file is temporarily stored on our server only long enough to send it to our detection service and return a result to you. Once the scan finishes, whether it succeeds or fails, the file is deleted automatically. We do not keep a library of uploaded images, and we do not review them manually.
Like most websites, our server automatically logs basic technical information for every visit, including your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. This is standard web server behavior used for security and troubleshooting, not for building a profile of you.
We use a short-lived PHP session to hold your captcha code and, briefly, your scan result while the page reloads. This session data is temporary and is not linked to any personal identity.
Your uploaded image is used for exactly one purpose: running it through our AI detection model to generate a percentage score. To do that, the image is passed to a third-party detection API over a secure connection. The file is never stored permanently on our servers, and it is never used for any purpose other than the scan you requested, including model training on our end.
We rely on a small number of outside services to make the tool work. Here's what each one does and what it can access:
| Service | Purpose | What It Sees |
|---|---|---|
| AI detection API | Analyzes the uploaded image and returns a detection score | The uploaded image, for the duration of the scan only |
| Google Fonts | Loads the typefaces used on this site | Standard font request data (IP address, browser) |
| Web hosting provider | Serves the website and stores temporary scan files | Standard server logs and temporary uploads |
These providers have their own privacy practices governing the data that passes through them, and we choose services that don't require us to hand over more than necessary.
We use one functional session cookie to keep your captcha and scan result working correctly between page loads. This cookie is not used for advertising, cross-site tracking, or building a profile of your browsing activity, and it expires when your browser session ends.
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll remove it.
We take reasonable steps to protect the information that passes through this site, including deleting uploaded images immediately after processing and using a captcha to limit automated abuse of the scan endpoint. That said, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security for any information sent over the internet.
Because TruePixel AI doesn't require an account and doesn't retain your uploaded images, there's generally no stored personal data tied to you to request, correct, or delete. If you have any concern about a specific interaction with the site, reach out using the contact details below and we'll look into it.
We may update this policy from time to time as the tool changes. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
